2016 In Process Social conflict from the perspective of the use and subjective experience of everyday time To explore and analyze meanings regarding social conflict and cohesion from the perspective of the use and subjective experience of everyday time. The research consists of the following approaches: (a) organizing information from various studies in Chile that include the variable of everyday time to identify the main conflicts and inequalities associated with it; (b) describing and analyzing the main conflicts linked to the distribution and use of everyday time depending of the variables of gender, age and socio-economic level; (c) depicting and reviewing the main strategies for confronting said conflicts depending of the variables of gender, age and socio-economic level; (d) contributing to the development of theoretical definitions on conflict and cohesion from the variable of use of time; and (e) positioning the issue of the use of time on the public agenda.

2015 In Process Differential effects of the social configuration of time: The tyranny of time in Santiago de Chile The purpose of this research is to lessen the analytical gap in previous studies, describing the unequal distribution of daily time presented by Santiago residents based on the variables of socio-economic group, age and gender. It uses a theoretical and methodological framework that integrates the objective and subjective dimensions of time in the life experience of the subjects, frames the results on the basis of neighborhood/community differences and completes individual perceptions of injustice with the data provided by modules II and III of the COES survey. This will be conducted using the concept of the ‘tyranny of time.’
