Jorge Atria

Adjunct Researcher Researchers RESEARCH LINE: Group and Individual Interactions

Adjunct Researcher at Group and Individual Interactions at COES and Assistant Professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC). Ph.D. in Sociology from the Freir Universität Berlin, Germany, and Master in Sociology from PUC. He is also an Associate Researcher at the International Research Network on Interdependent Inequalities in Latin America (Desigualdades). In 2015, he was awarded the Fondecyt Postdoc Project “Elite Económica, Concentración de Ingresos y Tributación: Conflictos Redistributivos en Chile”, and he’s co-researcher in the Fondecyt Regular Project “Economía Moral de la Meritocracia y Preferencias Redistributivas”. His areas of research include inequality, taxes, and redistribution, elites, economic sociology, sociology of culture and poverty.
