Postdoctoral Researcher at Political and Social Conflict line at COES. Ph.D. in Government from Cornell University (United States). Her doctoral thesis “Presidentas, Power and Pro-Women Change” won the American Political Science Association’s prize for best dissertation from the Women and Politics section. She has conducted fieldwork in Brazil and Chile thanks to Fulbright-Hays funding.
With a regional focus on Latin America, her research interests include the presidency and gender, conditions under which female presidents promote pro-women reforms, the relationship between presidents’ sex and approval ratings, and explanations for the emergence of female presidents in Latin America.
