Adjunct Researcher at Group and Individual Interactions research line, and Professor Auxiliar at School of Sociology at Universidad Católica del Maule. BA in Communications, Catholic Pontifical University of Chile, MA in Political Communication and MSc in Sociology of Modernisation, both at University of Chile. PhD candidate in Sociology, at The University of Manchester, UK. His COES project is about the normativity, solidarity and political orientations towards conflict of the Chilean post-industrial working class, and the interaction between class subjective positioning and material, objective socioeconomic measures. His research interests are in the area of Economic Sociology, in particular consumption, credit, indebtedness and financialization; supermarkets and department stores as social, working, and economic places; moral economy, sustainable consumption and political action. He is also heavily interested in the production of stratification measures, the production of the rhetoric of middle-classes, and the discussion about the white-collar proletariat and the new middle-classes in Latin America.
